Images from Seletar c1957/59 - from the late Derek Lehrle

This is a photo of a Sunderland Flying boat at a museum in Auckland in NZ. It was in the open air when I took this photo in the 1980's but I believe it is now under cover. It was flown here in the fifties as a gift from the French who had been using it. There is another flying boat that was used for passenger service under cover at the same museum. Must not forget a Lancaster as well that has been renovated to top condition and the engines can be run up if required. The renovation was carried out by ex NZ RAF bomber people who served in the RAF during the war.
