Pat Fountain sent in these images by email.

Her father was stationed at Seletar during and after WWII. He was with 390 MU as an instrument fitter.

These are quite remarkable images from 1945 to 1946 (with a few of uncertain date). The fact that he was able to take and produce them at all is surprising.

They are a very good snapshot of life at the base and around Sngapore at a difficult time.

The images were sent as scanned pages with multiple photos per page. I have separated the images and the captions are what was written on the back, where this was readable. The individual images are as sent and as large as they will go without blurring.

I have not transcribed some very personal messages that appear on the backs.

If the originals (or even the negatives) are still around, it would be great to be able to rescan at higher resolution to get bigger images. So, Pat, if you read this, do get in touch again.
