Grateful thanks to Pat for these fantastic photos from 1945 /1946. Her father was stationed at Seletar during and after WWII. with 390 MU as an instrument fitter.
These are quite remarkable and probably unique images. The fact that he was able to take and produce them at all is surprising. They are a very good snapshot of life at the base and around Singapore at a difficult time.
The images were sent as scanned pages with multiple photos per page, which have been separated. The captions used were written on the back, where this was readable. The individual images are as sent and as large as they will go without blurring. If the originals (or even the negatives) are still around, it would be great to be able to rescan at higher resolution to get bigger images. So, Pat, if you read this, do get in touch again. Thanks
